The studio decided to promote that series by releasing all five Planet of the Apes films in limited theaters that summer a single bill with the promotional title \"Go Ape!\"  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis poster was printed to promote this very unusual, daylong screening of Planet of the Apes (1968), \u003cspan\u003eBeneath the Planet of the Apes (1970), Escape From the Planet of the Apes (1971), Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972), and Battle For the Planet of the Apes (1973).  Theater owners were not thrilled about showing five films for the price of one film and many chose to only show a few of the films.  Posters at those theaters were often damaged when the titles of the skipped films were covered however this poster was not damaged.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe poster measures 27\" x 41\" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003econdition prior to restoration with some\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eedge wear and a small tear on the middle-right fold line.  It was folded at the time of printing. The fold lines are much less noticeable after linen-backing.
