Wolfgang Petersen directed the classic World War II submarine film.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe poster was printed to tease the initial September 1981 release of the film in Germany. It measures 23.5\" x 46.75\" and is in good to very good condition. There are pinholes in each corner from theatrical display. This poster was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe poster advertises a September 18 release however the film was actually released on September 17. A small piece of tape was placed over the day on the poster in 1981 to mitigate this error and was removed at some point causing surface paper loss. Someone later tried to write over the date in red marker.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe text along the bottom of the poster translates to:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\"The Fear. The Hate.
